the arms extruding from the board were carved with the band saw and angle grinder and sanded down to create the smooth texture.

the pieces are attached to base with mortise and tenon joints. the base piece contains an acrylic Xbox logo created on the laser cutter.

the entire piece is finished with three coats of tung oil. the base is supported by the extruded tenons and two small pieces of wood so that the base appears to be hovering.
